Disappointing - Have always loved the Argeneau family and the books - BECAUSE of the human element. Hiding from humans. Humans discovering what they are - struggling to understand or taking it in stride. Having TWO immortals falling in love (with so many stupid miscommunications and misunderstandings! aurgh) just wasn't as entertaining. The writing was just as good... but Scotty wasn't like the other "life mates" in that he wanted her mind wiped at 2 different times in her life - and it always seems like it was for HIS peace of mind - not hers like a life-mate would want... and them not really "talking" to each other honestly... just bothered me. Could be just me. But I've read ALL the books at least two times... this one just missed the mark. And for the cost??? Not much of a value IMO.

I love this story. As an Argeneau series reader, I was happy to see Ms. Sands return to the classic mystery writing style that makes these sexy vampire romance books so enjoyable. I really enjoyed the Highlander Vampire mix, very clever. I also found it unique to address some of the abuses these characters encountered by being captured and turned by a Rogue Vampire. The lead characters evolved as people before the crazy mate sex, but of course the sexy is still there. Very , very enjoyable.
This is Scotty's story and as usual male Immortals do he totally fracks ip telling Beth just how much he's loved her for the last 125 years and instead makes her think he wants to have her mind wiped !! Through in an Immortal rogue trying to kill her and Beth has a couple of weeks of bad days !! Dodging swords, fire and an assortment of other deadly attacks, Scotty needs to get his head in the game and figure out who is trying to kill his lifemate and how to get her to forgive his being a jerk and accept him. 5⭐'s for Lynsay Sands !!
Yet another great story by Ms. Sands! I loved the book, kept me entertained from start to finish, I couldn't put it down. I have a hard time waiting for the next one in line and so go back and reread from the beginning of the series -) At one time I had them all in book form but moving as often as I do wasn't feasible to keep them.

I am a huge fan of this author and this series. Ms. Sands is one of the few authors that I purchase books from. Can't wait for the next one to come out.
I enjoyed Scotty & Beth a lot! It was nice to get to know Beth more & her backstory & everything. I didn't really feel as big of a connection w/ Scotty as I normally do w/ my Immortal heroes. Not sure why. We get to see some frazzled Mortimer, which made me want to do a re-read of his & Sam's story. And there's quite a bit of Donny - remember, from Leigh & Lucian's story? Yeah, that one. He was quite fun at the comic relief! ; )
I couldn't put it down. At times it made me want to cry because of what Beth had gone through. Beth became a wonderful person even though her life was hard and she had a lot of horrible things happen to her. She was a brave and strong woman. And I loved Scotty he would fight and do what ever he had to do to keep Beth safe and a!ive. They had lots of trails to over come and plenty of hot, steamy and sexy scenes in between. If you enjoyed the other Argeneau books you will enjoy this.
When I made my change over to , this was one of the 3-4 series I had in paperback that I kept. Those first 8-10 books were amazing, funny, and just plain entertaining. The series has never reached that level again sadly for me.

This was another Rogue Hunter novel and the romance was more frustrating than interesting, the mystery was done well and I only figured it out shortly before we knew who it was but the main thing here is that it was a decent 4 Star novel, for awhile there I was sure it was going to drop to 3 but it did pick up a bit but still nothing like those first books I loved.

The romance was confusing and frustrating most of the book, the mystery was done well in that there were not any real TSTL moments. Really it could have been another series altogether it was so disjointed from those early books.

Bottom Line It was good, it was entertaining but not exceptionally so and it was nothing like those laugh out loud books that hooked me into this series. 4 Stars for a good story and keeping the "whodunnit" until the end.
Immortally Yours by Lynsay Sands is her latest Argeneau Novel. It's Beth and Scotty's story. This novel takes place in the same timeframe as Immortal Unchained. It takes place in Canada with the North American enforcers. It is a standalone novel that doesn't directly advance the series main storyline.
Beth had one of the most tragic lives of any mortal. The rollercoaster ride of hurt, betrayal, heartache, backstabbing and tragedy that Beth endured as a mortal would have broken most people. A chance meeting with an immortal named Dree and the friendship they shared was the only bright spot in her mortal life. Dree saved Beth's life and finally allowed her to make her own choices for the first time. But even Dree couldn't protect her from the horrible way she would become an immortal.
Fast forward 100 years, Scotty, the immortal that saved her and Dree's lives 125 years ago has come into her life again. But is he finally ready to tell Beth his her lifemate? Is he finally able to accept Beth's past life, her mortal life and the choices she had made for her or by her? What about his baggage?
The story of how these two lifemates finally wake up to each other and accept what Fate had known all long will keep you on the edge of your seat. You'll run the gambit of emotions and flip back and forth on how you feel about the characters. The heartache and tragedy is overwhelming. The ability to overcome, succeed and thrive will give you something to aspire to. I must say this novel is deeper, darker and more heartfelt than the rest of the series. The dry humor that makes me laugh out loud while reading this series isn't there but the thoughtfulness, heartache, and triumph are amazing. I can't wait to see what's next.
